This World Will Never Be the Same (40 Days)

This world has been torn apart due to a microscopic virus…

I have debated writing about this because I see in every commercial and every news story something about this pandemic. What I am going to write about is not to make you fearful but to instead lift your spirits.

As we all know COVID-19 has taken our world by storm infecting hundreds of thousands and killing thousands. This virus is no joke or something that is to be taken lightly it does kill people. With those facts in place, I still believe that our God is above this virus.

Let me share something with you I saw today the Latin root of quarantine is quadraginta. The meaning of this Latin root is 40. If we dig a little bit deeper we see in the bible the number 40 multiple times. Rain fell for 40 days and 40 nights. Moses wandered in the wilderness for 40 years. Jesus even fasted for 40 days.

The number 40 in the bible typically always points to a change or a pivot in whatever is going on. I believe that there will be a change in this world soon. This change will be for the better. Quarantine is a great way to spend time with family and text friends you haven't talked to in a while, but I challenge you in this time to grow closer to God. He is in control and we need to trust in him to guide us through our elected officials and those above us in order to get through this pandemic.
