Jeff Bezos Daily Routine

Being a Washingtonian I was interested in what Amazon’s CEO daily routine looked like. To my surprise, the habits that the richest man alive has are not complicated or hard to follow.

Jeff Bezos has a net worth of 124.7 billion USD and that number is climbing every day. He earns 215 million USD every single day. I took it upon myself to research and try out his daily routine.

  1. 8 a.m wake up
  2. 9 a.m breakfast with kids
  3. 10 a.m important meetings
  4. 12 a.m lunch
  5. 1 p.m non-important meetings
  6. 5 p.m busywork
  7. 8 p.m dinner
  8. 9 p.m downtime
  9. 11 p.m shower
  10. 12 a.m bedtime

With this list set up, I decided to try these steps out. Now being a student and having a stay home order my list will look different.

The first day I woke up at 8 and wrote a list of the things I needed to do that day. I then went and had breakfast at 9 by myself because I am 18 and do not have kids. I made myself oatmeal and sliced banana in it. Once 10 came around I started on my online classes. I finished those by 12 and ate lunch. By 1 my homework and classes were all done so I decided to do some not important work that I have been putting off. I cleaned my room did some laundry and unloaded a dishwasher. I think that is the start of adulting. By 5 I had done all of my chores I decided my busy work was going to be playing basketball outside with my brother and making Tik Tok’s. After my busy work, I ate dinner with my family at 7 because we eat early and had downtime until 11 when I took a shower. I then talked to my girlfriend after on face time until 12.

When I woke up at 8 I realized that this routine was not going to work for me. I for one do not have kids and can eat my breakfast pretty quickly. What all of this made me realize is that all he does is get the important things done first. Spending time with his kids is his number one and then its all the important things. The takeaway that I got from this was to complete the important and hard things first like hugging my mom in the morning. It is important to make time out for the family as well as getting everything done.

I learned that he is not that special and what he does is not complicated at all but he makes time for the things he loves.
